How To Be Elegant: Outer Beauty

Elegance is not about being noticed, it is about being remembered.

Elegance is simplicity, beauty and grace.

To be truly honest with you.. it is rare to find true elegance these days. In this post I will share with you how you can become elegant with outer beauty! Stay tuned for my next post on elegance which will be teaching on cultivating elegant inner beauty.

Less Is More

When it comes to elegance, I truly believe that less is more. There is an effortless style when it comes to elegant beauty. It is not overdone nor does it look too drab and basic.

Experiment with what styles suit you the best! What is YOUR individual and unique style? Play around with it, explore what you love. Transform your style into an elegant and simplistic look.

Neutral Colours

Wearing neutral colours gives a timeless and classic look that is so elegant that it compliments women of any age and throughout every season of the year. Avoid neon colours and overly bright colours. Especially distasteful patterns.. this in my personal opinion reflects a more younger looking style or something that is quite outdated.

Opt for a timeless and classic style for your go-to wardrobe colour scheme by choosing colours such as nude, beige, whites and camels. They brighten up anyone’s wardrobe beautifully!

Pearls

Pearls truly remind me of elegant women such as Audrey Hepburn. Pearls for accessories are such a classic piece that is simply just elegant.

Never overdo it with the jewellery!

As I said before, simplicity is key. And pearls are gorgeous to make a statement yet still not be so over the top.

Avoid Stiletto Heels

Stiletto heels can be quite outdated in my opinion, it reminds me of the days when I was a teenager who went clubbing. Everyone would be wearing huge stiletto heels that they can barely walk in. Let alone it can be so dangerous and unhealthy to your feet!

Be kind to your feet and comfortable in the shoes you wear by going for a classic pair of mid heels or elegant flat shoes.

Again, you don’t want to look like you’re being over the top. Elegance is about being effortlessly classic and beautiful.

Neat Hair

Keep your hair grooming up to standard by keeping it clean and neat. One of the most elegant hairstyles would be a low bun! It literally transforms anyone’s look entirely to look so much more mature and classic.

If you’re going to keep your hair curly, make sure it’s neat curls.

If you’re going to keep your hair straight, make sure it’s bone straight.

Always ensure that your hair is in top condition so it doesn’t look half done!

Modest Clothing

An elegant women often times doesn’t usually show too much skin. An elegant women never dresses to draw attention to her body. Through which I would recommend to maybe have a look in your wardrobe and see if there’s anything that may be a bit too revealing.

If this is your personal choice its all up to you.. however if you’re trying to aim for the elegant, feminine and classic look, it’s best to transform your wardrobe into something a bit more modest with midi lengths and higher necklines. Especially dresses that aren’t too tight!

Wear Feminine Clothing

To enhance your elegant wardrobe, I would recommend you to begin wearing more dresses and skirts. There’s something about dresses that add an elegant and feminine touch to your overall look! There’s nothing wrong with wearing trousers because that can also be elegant too, depending on how you style it! However I would recommend to maybe implement some classic dress and skirt pieces into your wardrobe to switch up your style and experiment into your feminine and elegant clothing styles and preferences.
