How To Overcome Anxiety and Depression

In the past I suffered from anxiety and depression, but now I am completely free from that. And I haven’t looked back since. If you suffer with these issues I hope this post will really help you. It helped me and I found that I started to feel a lot more positive and walked in complete freedom of joy from then.

Speak Peace Into Your Life

Even when you don’t feel like it. Speak peaceful words and declarations into your life out loud. Keep on repeating them. Our tongues have power to change the course of our lives. Our tongues have the power to put things into place.

Tell yourself that you will have a good day today, that everything will be okay, that your future is bright and that goodness and mercy will follow you all the days of your life.

Start to speak positive things. And not only will your life change, but you’ll find that your mood starts to uplift slightly too.

James 3:6

The tongue can set the course of one’s life

Proverbs 18:21

Life and death are in the power of the tongue

Say NO to anxiety and depression

2 Timothy 1:7

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but power, love and a sound mind.

Mediate on that scripture. DAY and NIGHT. Declare it!

You have not been placed on earth to live in fear with anxiety, and sad with depression. But God has given you a sound mind. And the POWER to overcome the depression and anxiety that hits your way.

At times we will feel low, we will feel worried. We are humans and that’s truly understandable.

But don’t put up with this if its a constant recurring issue, hovering over your mind over and over all the time.

Soundness is yours

Power is yours.

Peace you will have.

Speak out that scripture and meditate on it and you write it on your heart. Walk by truth. There is so much power in the Word of God.

Discipline Negative Thoughts

The moment you have a negative thought, cut it off straight away and think of something positive that defeats that thought.

For example, if you think:

‘Nobody will ever love me’.. fight back and tell yourself ‘I am loved by my friends, family and most importantly God’.

Comeback with pleasant things even when you don’t feel like it and your mind will start to develop that good routine of positive thinking.

Ask God to remove all depression and anxiety away from you in Jesus’ name. He is with you to deliver you, and He is always listening.

These are the things that helped me. It didn’t happen overnight, it was a process. But it was worth it. I can now say I am fully healed and restored in Christ. I have joy everyday even though sometimes things may not seem great, His peace overflows in me. And the same will happen to you too!

Take care of yourself,

You’re blessed and highly favoured!
