How Sleeping Too Much Attracts Poverty Into Your Life

Proverbs 20:13

Do not love sleep, or you will grow poor. Stay awake and you will have food to spare

We all love to rest, we all love a good nights sleep.. but when does it get too dangerous?

Situations in life that arise that causes us to fall into depression, stress, fatigue and even a lack of motivation can cause us to just want to wrap up and snuggle in bed all day.

Long naps and morning lye-in’s sound great. But when we look deeper on the surface, so much more happens to your life without you realising it.

I’m sure you have many dreams and ambitions that you plan to fulfil in your life,  but when you come to think of it.. how much time do you genuinely spend on working towards that?

Hours that you are constantly napping, snoozing or oversleeping away.. takes up your time that should be used for advancement and progression towards your future.

It’s so hard in nowadays with our jobs. Constant working, long hours, busy schedules. And by the time we come home, we are tired. But what I want you to focus on is what are you doing in your free time?

Are you planning ahead towards your aspirations, or are you just sleeping away all the time?

Start taking control over your daily schedules and manage your time wisely.

Many people fall into the issue of complacency and procrastination. They have a dream in mind but it’s always excuses after excuses… how long exactly will we all be sleeping on our dreams?

Stop sleeping on your dream and life purposes and arise. Pursue your destiny!

Poverty not only is lack and people poor, but I also see it as poor in your purpose. Lack of walking within your purpose whilst being trapped within the cycle of working a job that doesn’t fulfil you is very unfortunate.. but you have the power to change that.

There are gifts that your Creator has placed within you to prosper and increase in life. The bible says that ‘A mans gift will make room for him, and bring him before great men’ (Proverbs 18:16). So once you’re actively walking within your passions and gifts, the open doors of opportunity, including the funds and everything else will follow you in it’s timing.

I am not saying to quit your job now to follow your dreams. I would say only do that if you feel led to but.. think about how you use your free time wisely. Whilst you’re learning new skills etc at your day job, how are you going to use your free time to set the preparations in place for the divine vision for your life?

There is so much more to your life than what you see now, God’s plans for you are bigger than you can see. He is able to do more than we can ever imagine or think of.

Proverbs 20:4

If you are too lazy to plow, don’t expect a harvest.  (CEV Version)

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. To give you a future and a hope.

I hope this blessed and encouraged you,

take care,
